What Is Telcoin?

Telecoin(TEL) is an open source, peer-to-peer, community driven decentralized crypto currency with its own economy, the telecom economy.Established in July 2017 in Singapore, Telcoin leverages blockchain technology to provide access to decentralized financial services on any mobile device. Telcoin’s launch product is centered on high-speed, low-cost digital remittances to mobile money platforms and e-wallets. Telcoin partners with telecoms and mobile money platforms globally to make sending money easy, fast, and secure. Its contactless service, using the Telcoin application, is available on iOS and Android. The team aims to increase financial inclusion by significantly lowering the cost to send a remittance, which averages approximately 7 percent globally. Telcoin is regulated in Singapore as a Major Payment Institution by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Telcoin is also registered and regulated in a number of other global markets, and maintains primary offices in Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai, and Los Angeles. Telcoin has been an active member of the GSMA since February 2018.
