Headquartered in Malta and founded in 2014 by Star Xu (who also founded OKCoin), OKEx is a world-leading cryptocurrency exchange, providing hundreds of token and futures trading pairs. OKEx supports spot and derivatives trading — including futures, perpetual swap, and options — of major cryptocurrencies. 

Although OKEx is a centralized exchange, it has launched OKExChain, which is a set of open-source public chains developed by OKEx for blockchain applications and which can be used to create a decentralized exchange. Jay Hao, CEO at OKEx, says the new service will reportedly integrate Compound (COMP), a popular DeFi token in its “one-stop” DeFi trading hub.
